Rick Costello

Rick Costello is the current Treasurer at Hartford Public Library. Prior to their current position, they served as Senior Vice President, Head of Investor Relations at The Hartford from January 2003 to December 2011. Rick was responsible for leading the Investor Relations organization through the financial crisis and effectively maintained investor and analyst relations during a period of tremendous market volatility and management turnover. Before their time at The Hartford, Rick was a Senior Partner at WilmerHale (f/k/a Hale and Dorr LLP) from January 2001 to December 2003. As an equity partner, Rick's practice focused on securities, corporate governance and M&A.

Rick Costello received their Juris Doctor (J.D.) from University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where they graduated Magna Cum Laude. Rick also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics/Philosophy from University of California, Berkeley. Rick is certified from Admitted to the bar in California, Connecticut and Massachusetts.
