Alex Meadows

Alex Meadows is a highly experienced costume designer and educator, currently serving as the Costume Director at Hartford Stage since September 2021. With a professional background that includes freelance costume design from 2005 to April 2021, Alex has also held significant roles such as Adjunct Theatre Instructor at Portland State University from April 2018 to May 2020 and Costume Shop Manager at both Portland Center Stage at The Armory (August 2016 - March 2020) and Loyola University Chicago (January 2005 - August 2016). Additionally, Alex worked as an Assistant to the Costume Designer at Goodman Theatre from August 2001 to January 2015. Alex holds a Master of Fine Arts in Costume Design from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Technical Theatre/Theatre Design and Technology from the University of North Carolina Asheville.
