Charles S. Freitag

Production Manager at Hartford Symphony Orchestra

Originally from Durham Connecticut and graduated college with a degree in Film and Video Production, Charles began his technical career with working in NYC on programs for The History Channel and Discovery Channel.

Moving back to Connecticut he started freelancing in theater with Long Wharf and National Theater for the Deaf. In 2004 Charles became the Stage Supervisor for Hartford Stage until 2012 working on productions such as The Orphans Home Cycle, and the 2011 Pulitzer Prize winning play Water by the Spoonful. He would then move over to The University of Saint Joseph as the Technical Manager for the Autorino Center for the Arts before returning to Hartford Stage as the Associate Production Manager. Charles started with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra in June 2021 as the Production Manager.

In his free time he still has an interest in film and television and is a fan of the Boston Red Sox.
