Matthias Gellert

Matthias Gellert has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Matthias currently works as the Commercial Managing Director Region D-A-CH for HARTING since December 2019. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Kaimann Insulation from April 2017 to November 2019. In this role, they were responsible for the commercial area of the Kaimann Group and acted as a business partner for the owner and management, overseeing financial and HR issues.

Before joining Kaimann Insulation, Gellert worked as the Head of Finance, Controlling, and ICT/Finance Director at Marley Deutschland GmbH/Aliaxis Group from October 2014 to March 2017. Their responsibilities included overseeing finance, controlling, IT, and acting as the contact person for matters regarding finance, tax, and insurances.

From January 2008 to September 2014, Gellert served as the Head of Controlling Solar/New Energy at Schüco, where they were responsible for controlling the New Energy business unit and acted as a business partner for the management and organization.

Gellert also has experience at Grohe AG, where they held various roles including Head of Controlling Marketing from January 2006 to December 2007. In this position, they were a business partner for the CMO and marketing management and was responsible for commercial management, controlling new products, and calculating business cases.

Prior to their roles at Grohe AG, Gellert worked as a Senior Consultant at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting from 1998 to 2002, where they were involved in process re-engineering, SAP implementation, shared service center implementation, and other projects in various industries.

Overall, Matthias Gellert has demonstrated expertise in finance, controlling, and commercial management across different industries throughout their career.

Matthias Gellert completed their education with a PhD degree in Physics and Business Economics from Technische Universität Braunschweig, during the period of 1995 to 1998. Prior to that, they pursued a Dipl. degree in Physics from the same university from 1987 to 1994. Additionally, in 1994 and 1995, Matthias studied Physics at the University of Essex, but did not obtain a degree.
