Pedro Soares

Pedro Soares is an experienced professional in the field of environmental management and sustainable development. Currently serving as the Originator - Carbon Portfolio Manager at Hartree Partners since April 2022, Pedro oversees the company's nature-based program related to international carbon markets and corporate ESG goals. Prior to this, Pedro held the position of Technical and Policy Manager at Mirova, where responsibilities included leading nature-based investments and managing a diverse portfolio of climate-focused projects. From 2009 to 2021, Pedro managed the Climate Change and Environmental Services Program at Idesam, where duties included fundraising and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders. Pedro holds a Master's degree in Applied Ecology from Escola Superior de Agricultura "Luiz de Queiroz" and a degree in Environmental Management from the same institution, along with additional education from INSEAD and CATIE.
