Harvard Model Congress
Andre Ramsey is currently serving as President and Chief of Staff for the Harvard Model Congress San Francisco, where responsibilities include event planning and community development. Additionally, Andre is a Student Mentor for Learn with Leaders, providing leadership and communication training to high school students globally. In a similar capacity, Andre holds the position of Chief of Staff for Harvard Model Congress Europe, focusing on staff-related activities and event coordination. As Director of Technology for Harvard Model Congress, Andre manages technology initiatives for an annual conference that engages over 1,800 high school participants. Previous roles include leadership positions at The Cheesecake Factory, Crypto Currency Trading, and Dutch Bros Coffee, as well as student government and DECA leadership at John R. Rogers High School. Andre is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies and African American Studies at Harvard University, expected to graduate in 2026.

Harvard Model Congress
Founded in 1986, HMC is a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit and the nation’s oldest government simulation conference run exclusively by undergraduates at Harvard College. HMC is also the most dynamic model congress simulation available to high school students. Over the years, HMC Boston has grown significantly and has led to the development of five other conferences run by our sister organizations: Harvard Model Congress Europe, Harvard Model Congress Asia, Harvard Model Congress San Francisco, Harvard Model Congress Dubai, and Harvard Model Congress Latin America. We continue to improve the simulation with all of the resources available to us as we strive to guarantee the most accurate and informative experience. Unlike other conferences, HMC requires students to assume the role of real life congressmen, senators, and members of government, forcing them to expand their own perspectives and to understand the issues at hand in a new, more nuanced way. Harvard Model Congress presents a unique opportunity for high school students to engage with American government through role-play and simulation in order to develop a better understanding of civic involvement and government function. Through a variety of congressional committees covering a broad spectrum of pressing federal issues and a diverse collection of Special Program committees highlighting other aspects of the US government, HMC strives to provide a stimulating learning environment that fosters individual growth and group education.
