Harvard WECode: Women Engineers Code Conference
Lorena Castillejo is a Computer Science undergraduate at the University of Illinois Chicago, expected to graduate in May 2025. Currently serving as a Machine Learning & AI Undergraduate Research Assistant, Lorena also holds the position of Social Media & Marketing Officer for LOGICA, where responsibilities include developing marketing strategies and managing social media channels. Additional roles include Research Scholar for UIC Women in Engineering Programs, participant in the Harvard WECode Conference, and mentoring positions with Women Who Code and Girls Who Code. Lorena has participated in various fellowships, including the MLT Software Engineer Fellowship and ColorStack Fellowship, and has completed a Technical Interview Prep program with Edlyft. Lorena's academic background includes a High School Diploma from Proviso Math and Science Academy.

Harvard WECode: Women Engineers Code Conference
WECode (Women Engineers Code) is organized by undergraduate women at Harvard University and is an initiative of Harvard Women in CS (harvardwics.com). WECode runs the largest student-run Women in Computer Science conference in the United States. Our goal is to cultivate the next generation of technical leaders, foster a network and community among collegiate engineers, and promote more female representation in the technical industry.
