Karly Hou is an accomplished researcher and leader in the fields of computer science and mathematics, currently serving as an Undergraduate Researcher at Harvard University since February 2021, focusing on various projects including machine learning fairness and computational neuroscience. As the Founder and Executive Director of Wave Learning Festival, Karly has spearheaded efforts to provide extensive online educational resources to over 20,000 students across the United States. Karly has also gained practical experience through internships at companies like Bubble and Bain & Company, where significant contributions were made in product research and data analysis. With a background in software engineering from internships at The D.E. Shaw Group and Two Sigma, coupled with leadership roles in organizations such as the Harvard Undergraduate CBE and WECode, Karly demonstrates a strong commitment to technology and social impact.
