Margaret (Midge) Purce is a professional soccer player for the Portland Thorns, part of the Portland Timbers MLS club, since January 2018. Purce serves as the Executive Director of the Black Women's Player Collective since July 2020 and holds a position on the Harvard Board of Overseers since August 2020. In addition, Purce has been a Strategy Consultant for Coaches Across Continents since January 2019, focusing on implementing education programs aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals and co-authoring a documentary on sexual and reproductive health in Tanzania. Purce earned a Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies from Harvard University in 2017.
