Kate Bladow

Kate Bladow has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Kate recently joined Harvest as a Data Engineer in January 2023. Prior to that, Kate founded and served as the Strategist at Powered Pursuits from 2010 to 2014, where they planned and implemented technology solutions for nonprofit organizations and spoke at national and international conferences. Kate also organized Tech & Social Change Baltimore events and maintained a technology blog during their time at Powered Pursuits.

Kate has also worked at Operative and STAQ (Acquired by Operative) as the Director of Engineering, where they led integration teams, streamlined access to third-party data, and developed solutions for monitoring data collection and reporting.

Before that, Kate was the LawHelp Interactive Project Coordinator at Pro Bono Net from 2006 to 2010, where they coordinated projects that improved the delivery of legal information and services. Additionally, they worked as the Technology Project Coordinator at Montana Legal Services Association from 2003 to 2007, where they planned and implemented technology projects and launched legal websites.

Early in their career, Kate gained experience as a Technical Writing Intern at Microsoft from 2000 to 2002, where they developed documentation and conveyed technical material in an easy-to-understand manner.

Kate Bladow attended North Dakota State University from 1999 to 2002 where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science & Mathematics, with a minor in German. Kate also attended St. Olaf College from 1998 to 1999, although no degree or field of study information was provided for this period.
