Sherry Umlah

Sherry Umlah is an engineering manager with experience in overseeing engineering teams and initiatives. Sherry has a background in project management and department liaison in an Agile environment. Umlah has also been responsible for Atlassian Jira administration, including design of project workflows and user management. Prior to their current position, they were an engineering manager at Treehouse, where they were responsible for managing the Engineering and Techdegree Success teams. In this role, they established and reported on quarterly OKRs to achieve business outcomes. Sherry also conducted continuous product evaluations and managed the Techdegree product based on user feedback, NPS scores, and enrollment, engagement, and attrition metrics. Umlah has experience in leading cross-functional teams, conducting project kick-offs, writing Jira stories, facilitating blameless retrospectives, and ensuring proactive communication about project status.
