Kate LaRosh is an experienced professional in the field of nutrition and food science, currently serving as the Nutrition Services Coordinator at Harvesters–The Community Food Network since April 2021. Prior to this role, Kate worked as a Dietary Manager at Stoneybrook Healthcare & Rehab, LLC, and gained experience as a Baker at Radina’s Bakehouse. Earlier positions include serving as a Teaching Assistant and Lab Technician at AIB International, a QA Specialist at The J.M. Smucker Company, and a Lab Technician at the Kansas State Wheat Quality Lab. Additionally, Kate held various baking and culinary positions, including internships and roles at notable companies such as The Hershey Company and Bourbon and Baker. Kate pursued advanced education at Kansas State University, where a Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, and Sensory Sciences is currently being completed, following a Bachelor's degree in Food Science and an Associate's degree in Baking and Pastry Arts from The Culinary Institute of America.

Harvesters is a regional food bank serving a 26-county area of northeastern Kansas and northwestern Missouri. Our mission is to mobilize the power of our community to create equitable access to nutritious food and address the root causes of hunger. Our network provides food and household products to more than 760 nonprofit agencies including food pantries, community kitchens, homeless shelters, children’s homes and others.
