Nitya Gopalakrishnan

Nitya Gopalakrishnan currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at HASI since July 2025. Prior to this role, Nitya held various senior positions at BlackRock from October 2010 to June 2025, including Managing Director and Head of Technology Platform and Product for Aperio and Active SMA, as well as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer for Active SMA. Nitya began the professional journey as a Systems Analyst at The Miami Herald from January 1996 to January 1998, followed by a position as Sr. Systems Analyst at Whittman-Hart from January 1998 to January 1999. Academic qualifications include a BS in Computer Science from Madurai Kamaraj University (1989-1993) and further studies in C++, Data Structures, and Object-Oriented Design at Florida International University (1995-1996).
