Derek Schmidt has extensive experience in architecture, currently serving as Principal at HASTINGS since July 2003, with previous roles including Associate Principal, Senior Associate, Studio Leader, and Project Architect. Prior to joining HASTINGS, Derek worked as a Project Designer at Design Collective Incorporated from July 1997 to July 2003. Derek earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Carnegie Mellon University, completing studies from 1992 to 1997, and has a foundational education from Hume-Fogg.
