Edward Coney

Edward Coney has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Edward began their career as a Research Assistant at UNEP-WCMC in 1999. From there, they worked as a Monitoring Officer at JISC, where they conducted analytical projects to improve service delivery and value for money. In 2011, they joined Lloyds Banking Group as a Senior Analyst, specializing in credit risk modeling and forecasting. In 2013, they moved to Hastings Direct as a Manager in the Pricing department and eventually became the Head of Pricing, responsible for defining and delivering the company's retail pricing strategy. Edward is known for their expertise in data science and their ability to foster a culture of experimentation and innovation with a commercial focus.

Edward Coney completed their Master's Degree in Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge from 1996 to 1999. Edward then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Applied Statistics (Ecology) at Imperial College London from 2000 to 2005. In 2017, they obtained a certification as an HDP Developer: Quick Start from Hortonworks.
