Danny Pickett

CFO at Hastings Manufacturing Company

Danny Pickett has over 25 years of experience in the financial industry. Danny began their career in 1993 as the Controller of Sugarloaf, Ltd., a privately held vending company. In 1994, they worked as a Financial Reporting Manager for Corporate Express, Inc., where they were responsible for integration of acquisitions, consolidations, internal financial reporting and external regulatory reporting for a $1billion retailer of office supplies. Danny also prepared a public debt offering and a secondary public stock offering. In 1995, they became the Controller of Bestop, Inc., a division of Magna International, where they supervised staff of fifteen Accounting and Information Systems personnel and led a team that turned a $10M loss to a $2M profit in one year. In 2001, they became the Division Controller of Lund International, where they integrated three acquisitions with annual revenues of $5M - $20M, including staffing, accounting systems, and audits (annual, investor’s and banking). Danny was also responsible for two factory relocations with annual revenues of $10M - $20M. In 2008, they became the CFO of Silex Innovations, Inc., a $10M manufacturer of industrial exhaust products. Danny negotiated new line of credit and supplier agreements, replaced management staff, and restructured operations, resulting in improved EBITDA from -2% to +10% by the 7th month, $1M reduction of annual overhead costs by the 3rd month, and complete external debt payoff by the 12th month. In 2010, they became the CFO (Consultant) of R.C. Technical Welding and Fabrication, Inc., a $6M steel fabrication facility serving the petrochemical market. Danny negotiated the purchase of the company and developed staff to increase the business to $12M within 18 months. In 2011, they became the Director of Supply Chain Management (Bestop, Inc. Division) of Magna International, where they were responsible for purchasing, production planning and distribution for a $90M manufacturer of automotive convertible tops and tonneau covers. Danny coordinated purchase and logistics of raw materials from China, Taiwan, Malaysia, USA and Canada for facilities in Mexico and Colorado, and managed shipments of finished goods from Mexico to Colorado and Michigan and from Colorado to Distributors in North America, Europe and Australia. In 2014, they worked as a Senior Finance Manager (Consultant) for Wood Group PSN, where they were responsible for the financial integration of a $240M acquisition of Oil & Gas construction and lease-hold maintenance company in the Bakken Region USA. Danny also improved the review and collection process for outstanding accounts receivable and corrected accounting errors for secondary acquisition and implemented claw back provision to retrieve cash from seller. Since 2000, they have worked as a Consultant for Pickett Consulting, specializing in acquisitions, divestitures, and turn-arounds of manufacturing facilities and acting as a temporary CFO or Controller. Since 2015, they have been the CFO of Hastings Manufacturing.

Danny Pickett obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from Texas A&M University between 1981 and 1985. Danny also holds a Certified Public Accountant certification.
