Alston Gardner

Alston Gardner serves as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Eshelman Innovation since March 2023. With extensive experience in investment and advisory roles, Alston is the Managing Partner of DGI Capital, LLC, which has been active in early-stage investments since 2000, focusing on technology and software companies primarily in the southeastern United States. Additionally, Alston co-founded Fulcrum Equity Partners and plays a key advisory role at Hatteras Venture Partners, aiding early-stage investments through various networks. Alston's previous commitments include a tenure as a member of the Board of Trustees at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and serving as an adjunct faculty member at the Kenan-Flagler Business School. Prior to these roles, Alston founded OnTarget, a firm specializing in advanced sales training. Alston holds a BA in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Psychology from Columbia University.
