Vanessa Tailor currently serves as a Patient Advocate for Otolaryngology at Haute Autorité de Santé, focusing on integrating patient perspectives in improving surgical outcomes for head and neck cancer. Prior to this role, Vanessa was an instructor in robotic techniques for otolaryngology at Gustave Roussy from 2016 to 2020 and served as a surgeon with Médecins Sans Frontières in Eastern Africa from 2007 to 2017, performing complex surgeries in conflict zones. Vanessa also practiced as an Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgeon at Toronto General Hospital, specializing in advanced surgical techniques, and held the position of Surgical Registrar at The Ottawa Hospital after completing medical training at the University of Toronto. Vanessa holds a Master of Arts in Law and a Bachelor of Laws from The Open University, alongside a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Toronto.
