Bala Mulloth, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries and institutions. In 2015, they joined the University of Virginia as an Assistant Professor of Public Policy. In 2018, Dr. Mulloth co-founded Hava, Inc., a materials science venture affiliated with the University of Virginia, which focuses on creating advanced fabrics for clean air. In 2019, they became a Research Fellow at the U.S. Army Research Laboratory and also served as a Strategic Advisor for The Spill Teem™. Additionally, Dr. Mulloth served on the Board of Directors for Charlottesville Ballet from 2019 to 2020. Prior to these roles, they were a Visiting Faculty Fellow at the National Defense University from 2016 to 2017. From 2011 to 2015, Dr. Mulloth held multiple roles at the Central European University Business School, including Faculty Director and Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management. Before their time at Central European University, they worked at New York University in various capacities, including Senior Manager and Operations Manager in the Office of Innovation Development, Technology Transfer, and Entrepreneurship.

Bala Mulloth, Ph.D. obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Telecommunication Networks from New York University, where they studied from 2002 to 2004. Subsequently, they pursued a Ph.D. in Technology Management at New York University, completing their doctoral studies between 2004 and 2010.
