Himani Pattisam

Co-director, Food As Medicine Initiative at HAVEN Free Clinic

Himani Pattisam is currently a Health Department Intern at Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services, focusing on creating educational materials for immigrant families and researching local healthcare programs. As Co-Director of the Food as Medicine Initiative at HAVEN Free Clinic, Himani co-wrote a grant application that secured $20,000 for the clinic. In various roles at HAVEN, including Director of the Medical Debt & Insurance Counseling Department, Himani has provided crucial support to uninsured patients, particularly Spanish-speaking immigrants, and trained new volunteers. In addition, Himani serves as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Yale University, conducting research on mosquito behavior to enhance vector regulation technology. Academic involvement includes tutoring biology students at the Yale Center for Teaching and Learning and holding leadership roles in public health policy initiatives and immigrant advocacy. Upcoming endeavors include a Summer Associate position at Boston Consulting Group and pursuing a Master of Public Health at Yale School of Public Health, building on a Bachelor of Science from Yale University.
