Chrl Paula Fernandes

Paula Fernandes, CHRL, has extensive experience in human resources and talent management. Paula is currently the Chief Human Resources Officer at Haventree Bank, a position they have held since July 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of People & Culture at QA Consultants, where they led the HR function from January 2022 to July 2023. Paula also held the role of Director of People & Culture at Drone Delivery Canada from April 2019 to December 2021. Earlier in their career, Paula held various HR positions at Richter, PwC, NFP Canada, People Sense, and Unihold Group Limited. Paula has a strong track record of implementing HR initiatives, managing HR operations, and driving talent strategies to support organizational growth and success.

Paula Fernandes, CHRL has a diverse education background. In 1991, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Affairs at the University of the Witwatersrand. In 1998, they pursued further education in Financial Planning and benefits at the University of Johannesburg. In 2002, Paula Fernandes attended the Scotwork Negotiating Skills course to enhance their negotiating skills. Continuing their professional development, they completed a VIP Payroll program at Payroll Solutions in 2003. In 2012 and 2013, Paula Fernandes received professional training in CHRP/CHRL at the Human Resources Professionals Association. Lastly, in 2018, they attended the Strategic Human Resource Management Program at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management.
