Stephane Lavallee has over a decade of experience in the digital surgery and robotics industry. In 2009, they founded eCential Robotics, a surgical robotics company that integrates 3D/2D Xray Intra-operative Imaging for MIS spine, trauma, and orthopaedics. In the same year, they also founded Orthotaxy, a company focused on developing software-enabled surgical technologies for the benefit of patients. In 2011, Lavallee co-founded UROMEMS and Traumis Surgical and became a co-founder of Blue Ortho in 2009. In 2012, they became the President of Haventure and led the startup factory's services in quality, regulatory, admin, marketing, strategy, IT, and network of technology and components providers. Lavallee also served as the President of MinMaxMedical in 2008. Stephane co-founded Imactis in 2009 and was a board member until April 2023. In 2015, they co-founded HemoSquid, and from 2010 to 2011, they co-founded A2 Surgical.
Stephane Lavallee received a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Grenoble University from 1986-1989. Prior to that, they received a degree in Telecom Bretagne with a focus on signal processing, microwaves, and medical imaging from IMT Atlantique from 1983-1986. Stephane'searly education consisted of attending Lycée Janson de Sailly from 1980-1983. There is no information available on their education prior to that, though it is known that they attended Saint Vincent Senlis at some point.
