Nico Washington

Nico Washington's work in higher education began at Johns Hopkins University, where she administered programming at the Carey School of Business before spending two decades in the University System of Maryland. This service included being associate provost for financial affairs and chief of staff at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) and culminating as chief operating and financial officer at the Universities at Shady Grove (USG). Her interest in finance and administration led her to the Agnes Irwin School in 2021 in nearby Bryn Mawr, PA, where as chief financial officer she oversaw all aspects of the school’s fiscal management, operations, and budget as well as managing Campus Facilities, Campus Safety and Security, Auxiliary Programs, the Business Office, and Human Resources

A graduate of the University of Maryland, with a BS in accounting, Washington also earned a masters in business administration at Maryland.
