Christopher Ward has a diverse work experience spanning from 1996 to the present. In 1996, they started their career in the United States Air Force, where they served as a 2W151 Aircraft Armament Systems Journeyman, performing munitions loading and aircraft armament systems maintenance duties. Christopher then joined Rosemont Public Safety as an Auxiliary Public Safety Officer, where they fulfilled part-time police officer duties including security, traffic direction, and crowd control.

In 2004, Christopher Ward transitioned to Alexian Brothers Health System, where they initially worked as a PC Technician II, providing end-user technical support and IT hardware acquisitions. Christopher was later promoted to Server Team Lead/Technical Architect, focusing on Active Directory, server, and software integration.

In 2000, Christopher Ward joined the Air National Guard, serving as a 2W171 Aircraft Armament Systems Specialist before becoming the Cyber Operations Division Chief. During this role, they consulted with NATO partners on cyber defense and readiness and performed blue team activities in a cyber defense exercise hosted by a partner nation in Eastern Europe.

From 2012 onwards, Christopher Ward has been employed by HAVI, initially as a Senior Technical Engineer responsible for Windows and VMware infrastructure engineering and support. Christopher voluntarily implemented security controls and automated patching for Microsoft systems.

Currently, Christopher Ward holds the position of Director of Cyber Security Operations at HAVI, where they continuously improve and evolves security operations, develops strategies aligned with the CISO's objectives, and acts as the Service Delivery Manager for various functions, including SOC, threat intelligence, and crisis management exercises.

Christopher Ward 🛡️ attended DeVry University Addison from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Technical Management. During the same period, they also earned an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Electronics and Computers from DeVry University Addison. Additionally, they hholdvarious certifications, including CISA Assessment Evaluation and Standardization (AES) Cyber Risk and Resilience (CRR) and External Dependencies Management (EDM) from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency in 2022, Xacta IA Manager and NIST Risk Management Framework from Telos Corporation in 2017, LRSA LogRhythm Security Analyst, LRPA - LogRhythm Platform Administrator Level 1, ACAS - DISA Risk Management Executive from LogRhythm and DISA in 2017, GIAC Security Leadership (GSLC) in 2016, GICSP Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional from GIAC in 2015, and Security+ from CompTIA in 2010.
