Douglas Nam Le, AICP, currently serves as a Disaster Recovery Officer and Administrative Services Officer in the Planning Department for the County of Hawaii since December 2017. Prior to this, Douglas held several key positions at the Office of the Mayor of New York City, including First Deputy Director and Chief of Staff for Climate Policy and Programs and the Office of Recovery and Resiliency from January 2015 to November 2017. Douglas was also the Director of Policy and Leadership Development at Asian Americans for Equality from June 2010 to January 2015 and worked as a Partnership Specialist for the U.S. Census Bureau in the New York Regional Office from April 2009 to June 2010. Earlier career roles include Program Manager and Program Coordinator at NYU Langone Health and Program Evaluation Coordinator and YMSM Peer Counselor at Apicha Community Health Center. Educational achievements include a Juris Doctor Candidate status at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa-William S. Richardson School of Law, a Master of Urban Planning from New York University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from Columbia University.
