Doug Murdock

Chief Information Officer, Enterprise Technology Services at Hawaii.gov

Doug has served as Chief Information Officer since 2019, overseeing some of the largest technology transitions and initiatives in state history. He has an outstanding grasp of the challenges and opportunities associated with transitioning state government to secure, efficient IT systems.

He has also served as the Comptroller and director of the Department of Accounting and General Services, and as Vice President of Administrative and Fiscal Affairs for the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority (HTA). Before joining HTA, he was in private practice with Alston Hunt Floyd and Ing. He also served in the Air Force for 25 years as a Judge Advocate and attained the rank of Colonel.

Doug earned a J.D. degree, a M.S. degree in public administration, and a B.S. degree in economics from the University of Washington.
