Sara Tanaka has worked in various roles in their career. Sara started their work experience as a Research Assistant at Brigham and Women's Hospital in 2007. In 2009, they became a Senior Research Associate and Research Coordinator at Mapi Values, where they worked until 2009. Sara then worked as an Independent Research Consultant from 2009 to 2012. In 2010, they served as a Graduate Research Assistant at HMSA. From 2011 to 2013, they worked as a Research Project Manager III at Kaiser Permanente. Sara returned to HMSA in 2013 and held several positions, including Manager of Provider Quality Programs, Senior Manager of Payment Transformation, Maui Strategic Partnership Director, and currently as Director of Corporate Strategy.
Sara Tanaka holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Community Health & Child Development from Tufts University. Sara has also obtained a Master of Public Health degree in Health Policy & Management from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Additionally, they studied at Seabury Hall.
