Brooke Nasser

Brooke Nasser is an experienced journalism teacher at the Hawaii State Department of Education since August 2017, with a broad background in film and writing. Nasser has worked as a filmmaker independently since January 2013 and has been a freelance writer, copywriter, and photographer since January 2015. Previous roles include copyeditor at Sun Journal - Sun Media Group from April 2016 to January 2018, artist in residence at B&F from November 2014 to January 2018, and assistant to Kathryn Bigelow at Zero Dark Thirty from September 2011 to March 2013. Nasser holds a B.A. in English from Dartmouth College, an M.F.A. in Film Production from the University of Southern California, a Master of Education in Secondary Education from Western Governors University, and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Psychology at Harvard Extension School.
