Ben Mendes

Ben Mendes has a diverse work experience in various roles within the field of information technology. Ben most recently served as the Chief Information Officer at Hawaii State Federal Credit Union, starting in July 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of SVP & Director of Information Technology at the same organization from March 2021 to July 2022.

Before joining Hawaii State Federal Credit Union, Mendes worked at The Doctors Company, where they served as the Director of Information Security for over 14 years, from February 2007 to March 2021.

Prior to that, they attended San Jose State University from 1995 to 1999, majoring in Civil Engineering. Ben also attended Santa Rosa Junior College from 1999 to 2001, where they earned an Associate of Science degree in Computer Engineering. Ben completed their high school education at Montgomery High School from 1992 to 1994 and attended both Petaluma High School and Healdsburg High School briefly. In addition to their educational background, Ben has obtained several certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) in 2014, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2018, and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) from EC-Council in 2019, among others.
