Substitute Violinist at Hawai‘i Symphony Orchestra

Lauren Holt is a seasoned music educator currently teaching Middle School General Music for grades 7-8 at Punahou School since August 2017. In addition, Lauren serves as a Violin Teacher for the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra and has past experience as a Substitute Violinist at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville from July 2015 to May 2017. Leadership roles include Vice President of Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society and Chapter President of the National Association for Music Education. Earlier experiences encompass an internship at Xavier University Montessori Lab School and a staff position at the Interlochen Center for the Arts, where mentoring was a key responsibility. Lauren holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and Violin Performance from Xavier University, along with a Master’s Degree in Violin Performance focusing on Suzuki Pedagogy from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
