Blake Morrison

Blake Morrison has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as a Distribution System Operator II at Hawaiian Electric since June 2017, with previous roles including System Operator - Trouble Dispatcher and Senior Helper - Substation Electrician. Prior to Hawaiian Electric, Blake worked at SunEdison as a Balance of Plant Technician, where responsibilities included substation inspection, maintenance, and the management of photovoltaic projects in Hawaii. Additionally, Blake was a Generation Dispatcher at Avangrid Renewables, overseeing the operational reliability of over 6,500 megawatts of generation capacity. Earlier in the career, Blake held multiple Project Site Lead positions at Siemens Energy, managing wind farms in Hawaii and Oregon. Educational qualifications include certifications from the North American Electric Reliability Corporation and an Associate of Science in Electrical Transmission Systems Technology from Bismarck State College.
