Hawaiian Electric also owns all the common securities of HECO Capital Trust III (a Delaware statutory trust), Renewable Hawaii, Inc. and Uluwehiokama Biofuels Corp. (UBC). The Company's service areas also include numerous suburban communities, resorts, the United States Armed Forces installations and agricultural operations. Hawaiian Electric serves the island of Oahu and Hawaii Electric Light serves the island of Hawaii. Maui Electric has three separate electrical systems, which include one each on the islands of Maui, Molokai and Lanai.
