Shannon A. has extensive experience in government relations and legal affairs, currently serving as the Director of Government Relations at Hawaiian Electric since November 2018, after holding the position of Government Relations Manager. Prior experience includes the role of Director of Government Relations at the General Contractors Association of Hawaii and participation as a Farmer Apprentice at Go Farm at the University of Hawaii. Early career roles encompassed legal positions as a Research and Legal Affairs Assistant at the Land Use Research Foundation, Law Clerk for the First and Second Circuit Courts in Hawaii, and a Legislative Assistant at the State of Hawaii Legislature. Shannon A. holds a J.D. from the William S. Richardson School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Oregon State University.
