Shawn Miller

Principal FPGA Engineer at HawkEye 360

Shawn Miller has extensive work experience in the field of FPGA engineering. Shawn started their career at Mercury Computer Systems, Inc. in 2004 as a Senior FPGA Design Engineer. Their responsibilities included RTL design in VHDL, Verilog, and SystemVerilog, verification, physical design, and automation. Shawn worked on a team to create an FPGA Development Kit. In 2010, they joined MITRE as a Principal FPGA Engineer. Here, they served as the team lead for the development and maintenance of a GPS/navigation receiver prototype implemented on an FPGA-based software-defined radio. Shawn was both a hands-on member of the development team and the interface to government sponsors and contractors. Currently, Shawn is employed at HawkEye 360, where they hold the position of Principal FPGA Engineer starting in 2023.

Shawn Miller earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University, where they were enrolled from 1997 to 2002. Later, they pursued further education at the same university and obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering from 2002 to 2004.
