Lisa Muñoz

Lisa Muñoz has served as a Professor of Sociology and Department Chair of Humanities/Social Sciences/Wellness at Hawkeye Community College since August 2021, teaching various Sociology courses and Introduction to Women's Studies. With prior experience as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Northern Iowa and Des Moines Area Community College, Lisa has a strong background in Sociology education and has fulfilled roles on committees such as the Honors Committee and the Global Education and Diversity Committees. Lisa Muñoz holds an MA in Sociology from Loyola University Chicago, a Graduate Certificate in Diversity, Social Justice, and Inclusion from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, and a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Sociology from the University of Iowa.
