After studying at Oxford Brookes University and working in practices across the South of England and London, Robert joined Hawkins\Brown in 2021.
As a teenager, he became interested in architecture through parkour. Returning to the subject for his undergraduate dissertation at Plymouth University, he examined the way that space, place and identity are formed in the use of public space. His keen interest in the interaction between architecture and the people who occupy it continues to inform an inclusive approach to design that is open to adaptation and appropriation.
He is an experienced designer with a track record for delivering award-winning new build and retrofit projects across the education, residential and commercial sectors. In his previous work on schemes across London and the Midlands, he discovered a passion for the rehabilitation of existing buildings, which he brought to the workplace team at Hawkins\Brown.
Robert can usually be found trying out a new recipe outside of the studio or putting those calories to good use rowing, cycling and hiking at every opportunity.
