Alexa Parmley

Alexa Parmley has extensive experience in education, currently serving as the Head Cheerleading Coach and Substitute Teacher at Hawthorn School District 73 since September 2018. Responsibilities include instructing students in grades K-5 across multiple subjects and choreographing competitive cheer routines, emphasizing safety and skill progression. Prior experience includes substitute teaching in Fremont School District 79 and a student teaching role at Hawthorn School District 73. Alexa has also worked as a research assistant focusing on educational policy at Lake Forest College and has held leadership positions in collegiate cheerleading and Kappa Delta Pi. Educational qualifications include a Programming Certificate in Computer Science from the College of Lake County, a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Lake Forest College, and a Bachelor’s Degree in French Studies from the same institution.
