Bill Purdy

Bill Purdy is an accomplished professional in design and development with extensive experience in the technology and education sectors. Currently serving as VP of Design & Development at Hawthorne Effect, Inc. since February 2016, Purdy focuses on transforming clinical trial processes through innovative technology. Prior to this role, Purdy co-founded Spinapse, Inc., leading creative and engineering teams in developing mobile and web software from January 2004 to January 2016. As Founder and CEO of True North Studios from January 1994 to December 2003, Purdy managed the creation of award-winning educational software products. Additional contributions include consulting for the Edutopia foundation and developing multimedia projects at various organizations, including Apple and WGBH. Bill Purdy holds a BA in Psychology from Northwestern University, an EdM in Educational Technology from Harvard University, and has completed postgraduate studies at the MIT Media Lab.
