Philip Albert

Philip Albert is currently a partner at Haynes and Boone, LLP. Prior to this, they were a partner at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP from February 2013 to June 2020, specializing in patents and other IP rights for electronics, software, networking and Internet companies, open source licensing issues, data and privacy rights. Philip has also been a part of Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP from September 1991 to February 2013, where they were a member of Executive Committee/Policy Committee 2001-2005, and Practice Group Leader for Electronics and Software Group 2005-2008. In addition, Philip Albert is the founder of Galt Engineering Inc., which they started in January 1986 and ran until June 1991. Before becoming an entrepreneur, they worked as a design engineer at Jet Propulsion Laboratory/NASA from June 1983 to January 1986.

Philip Albert received a BSEE in Electrical Engineering from Caltech and a JD from USC Gould School of Law. Their areas of expertise include Electrical Engineering and Information Theory.
