Sam Genovese

Sam Genovese has extensive experience in technology transactions and data privacy law. Currently serving as an Associate in Technology Transactions at Haynes and Boone, LLP since April 2025, Sam previously worked at McDermott Will & Emery and Lewis Brisbois, where responsibilities included drafting IP licensing agreements and creating incident response plans for data breaches. With relevant roles in both litigation and cybersecurity, Sam's clients have spanned various industries, including multinational corporations, cryptocurrency firms, and healthcare startups. Early career roles included law clerk positions and writing in the sports journalism field. Sam holds a J.D. from SMU Dedman School of Law and a BA in English from the University of Maryland.
