Yvette Blue started their work experience in 1991 as a teacher at Holy Angels Catholic School until 1994. Yvette then worked as a teacher at Chicago Public Schools from 1996 to 2002. From 2002 to 2009, Yvette worked at Haywood County Schools, first as a teacher, then as an assistant principal, and finally as a vice principal. In 2010, they became a principal at Haywood County Schools and held that position until 2016. Since 2016, Yvette has been working at Haywood County Schools as the Associate Superintendent and Chief Academic Officer.

Yvette Blue has a comprehensive education history. Yvette first attended Chicago State University from 1992 to 1996, earning their Bachelor of Science in Education with a focus on Elementary Education. Following this, they continued their studies at the same university from 1992 to 1998, obtaining a Master of Science in Education with a specialization in the Teaching of Reading.

In 2003, Yvette pursued higher education at The University of Memphis, where they completed their Master of Science in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies between 2003 and 2005. Finally, Yvette culminated their academic journey at Trevecca Nazarene University, where they received their Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Leadership, a course of study which they completed in 2019.

It is evident that Yvette Blue has prioritized their education and has consistently sought to enhance their knowledge and skills in various fields related to education and leadership.
