Clinical Trainer at Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation

Robert Carty possesses extensive experience in clinical training and program development within the fields of addictions treatment and mental health counseling. Since August 2015, Robert has worked as a self-employed Clinical Trainer and Clinical Director, where responsibilities include supervising clinical teams and ensuring high-quality service delivery. Prior to this, Robert served as the Coordinator for Program Development at Saint Joseph Hospital, focusing on services for individuals with substance use disorders. As the Founder of Partnership in Clinical Training and Consultation from 2004 to 2013, Robert provided high-quality training and mentorship. Earlier roles include Deputy Director at TASC, managing diverse programming in community re-entry and juvenile justice, and Clinical Training Specialist at Grant Hospital of Chicago, where Robert co-managed the Clinical Training Program for Addictions Counselors. Robert holds an MSW in Social Work from the University of Illinois Chicago and a BA in Sociology from Duquesne University.
