John Kitchens

John Kitchens currently serves as the Director of Assessment, Data, and Accountability for the Hazelwood School District since July 2021. Prior to this role, John Kitchens held the position of Executive Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment at Mexico Public Schools for one year, where responsibilities included guiding assessment initiatives and managing remote learning platforms. From July 2018 to July 2020, John Kitchens was the Executive Director of Assessment at Riverview Gardens School District, focusing on implementing measures of student learning and presenting data to support educational leaders. Additional experience includes serving as the Director of Science Curriculum and Assessment at the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education from June 2016 to July 2018, leading the development of statewide science assessments. John Kitchens is pursuing an Education Specialist degree in Superintendency at Northwest Missouri State University, having previously earned a Master of Education in Administration from William Woods University.
