John Nagel has a significant amount of work experience in both the offshore industry and the U.S. Coast Guard. John started their career in 1986 as a Marine Engineer in the U.S. Coast Guard, where they served as an Engineering Officer on various vessel types. John later became a Supervisor on a Maintenance Augmentation Team and was responsible for Preventative Maintenance schedules, budgets, and personnel management. In 1998, John became a Supervisor – Senior Marine Inspector/Surveyor and oversaw all new vessel construction and existing vessel repairs, as well as portable accommodation construction and compliance. In 2008, they joined HB Rentals as the Director of Offshore Operations-GOM and later became the VP-Product Design & Development. John currently holds the position of VP of Operations.
John Nagel received an Associate's Degree in Engineering-Related Technologies from Pinellas Technical College in 1982. John then pursued further education at the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center in Yorktown, Va. where they completed Technical studies in Engineering Officer Administration, and graduated in 1993. Later, in 1998, John attended the U.S. Navy Training Center in Pensecola, Fl. for Officer Training, though no specific degree was noted.
