Deena Silton, M.S.

Deena Silton, M.S. has a diverse work experience in the field of biosciences. Deena is currently working as a Sr. Research Associate at hC Bioscience, Inc. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Associate at Moment Biosciences, where they focused on CRISPR/Cas systems and conducted various assays to screen and optimize effector orthologs. Deena also worked at Cellarity as a Research Assistant, where they analyzed gene expression data and coordinated various research requests. In addition, they have experience as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Maryland, where they assisted students in organic chemistry laboratory and conducted research on the GRB10 protein. Deena has also worked as a Private Tutor at College Park Tutors and co-founded an informative association for life sciences majors at the University of Maryland. Furthermore, they have experience in event planning and coordination as an Ometz Coordinator at the University of Maryland Hillel. Deena has also interned at the Army Educational Outreach Program and Plumpton Park Zoological Gardens Inc., gaining experience in mentorship and animal care, respectively.

Deena Silton, M.S. completed their education with a Master of Science in Biotechnology: Biotechnology Enterprise from Northeastern University in 2022. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences and Biology at the University of Maryland, from 2017 to 2020. Deena started their academic journey at C. Milton Wright High School, where they obtained their High School Diploma in 2017.
