Jarod Hershberger, D.M.P, DABR, is a clinical medical physicist with extensive experience in radiation oncology. Currently serving at HCA MidAmerica Division since November 2017, Hershberger has been instrumental in establishing Missouri's first tattoo and marker-free department utilizing surface-guided radiotherapy (SGRT) with VisionRT, along with expertise in various treatment platforms such as TrueBeam, HDMLC, and GammaKnife for SRS/SBRT, as well as HDR techniques for gynecologic cases. In addition to this role, Hershberger has been a medical physicist at Advocate Health Care since July 2014, where responsibilities include working with advanced techniques and equipment such as TrueBeam and HDR platforms. Previous experience includes a medical physics residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where training encompassed total body irradiation and stereotactic radiosurgery. Hershberger holds a Doctorate in Medical Physics from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Ouachita Baptist University.
