Amy der-Ching Lu

Amy Der-Ching Lu has extensive experience in the field of transplantation surgery. Amy currently holds the position of Chief, Abdominal Transplantation at HCA Florida Healthcare. Previously, they served as the Surgical Director, Liver Transplantation at Tampa General Hospital from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they held the position of Chief, Abdominal Transplantation at Loyola Medicine from 2011 to 2018. Amy also worked as the Director, Kidney Transplantation at Montefiore Medical Center from 2007 to 2011 and as the Director, Kidney/Pancreas transplantation at Georgetown University Medical Center from 2000 to 2007. Additionally, they completed a Multiorgan Transplant Fellowship at Stanford University School of Medicine from 1998 to 2000 and served as a Surgery Resident at New York-Presbyterian Hospital from 1993 to 1998.

Amy Der-Ching Lu completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Amherst College from 1985 to 1989. Following that, they pursued their medical education at Tufts University School of Medicine from 1989 to 1993, where they obtained an MD and an MPH degree in the field of Medicine. Later, they furthered their education at Auburn University Harbert College of Business from 2003 to 2005, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
