Rich Briones

Rich Briones, MD, currently serves as Chief Medical Officer at HCA Healthcare, a position held since January 2022. Previously, Rich held key roles including Managing Partner at G2 Anesthesia and Chief Medical Officer at XpandCare. A clinical anesthesiologist at Good Samaritan Hospital for over two decades, Rich also served as Regional Director of the Anesthesia Practice Line at Vituity and Medical Director at CEP America. Other significant contributions include leadership roles at Group Anesthesia Services, Inc. and oversight positions at Anesthesiologist Associated Inc. Rich began their career in education as a biology, chemistry, and trigonometry teacher at Bishop Montgomery High School. Rich holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from UC Irvine and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Loyola Marymount University, complemented by an internship in Medicine at UCLA.
