Managing Lead—laboratory/beaker at HCTec

Christel Bastian has an extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Christel started their career as a Medical Technologist at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in 2002 and worked in that role until 2019. During this time, they gained valuable experience in laboratory practices and procedures. In 2008, Christel transitioned to the role of LIS Clinical Analyst at the same medical center, where they worked until 2019. As a LIS Clinical Analyst, they were responsible for managing laboratory information systems and analyzing clinical data. In 2019, they joined HCTec as an Application Coordinator, where they played a crucial role in coordinating and implementing various healthcare applications. More recently, in 2022, they were promoted to the role of Managing Lead for the Beaker and Interfaces Teams at HCTec. In this position, they lead teams involved in managing laboratory information systems and interfaces. Christel's diverse work experience and expertise make their a valuable asset in the healthcare industry.

Christel Bastian earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology-Chemistry from Elmira College, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Additionally, they obtained several certifications from Epic, including Bridges Interfaces in March 2022, Epic Beaker Clinical Pathology in November 2021, and Epic Beaker Anatomic Pathology in July 2021.
