Dr. Braden is best known for developing the Braden Scale for Predicting Pressure Sore Risk which was tested and refined in partnership with Dr. Nancy Bergstrom. She has received many awards for her work, including lifetime achievement awards from the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel, the European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel and the World Union of Wound Healing Societies.
